GSAT Conducted an AT Presentation to UOG’s School of Nursing Team

GSAT attend Breastfeeding Awareness Fair

On August 24, 2019, Guam System for Assistive Technology (GSAT) participated in the 6th Annual Breast Feeding Awareness Fair at the Micronesia Mall Center Court. GSAT shared information on various assistive technology available to assist children with communication and limited fine and gross motor skills. Client Receives AT Device from GSAT

June 12, 2019: Lorna Soriano and her daughter Marie Soriano visited the GSAT office inquiring about available services and equipment for individuals with mobility issues. The family was given a quad cane through GSAT’s reutilization program.

Assistive Technology and Accessibility Training at DISID

June 10, 2019: GSAT Center Coordinator Leah Abelon conducted training on the usage of a TDD/TTY, a telecommunication device for the Deaf, and creating accessible documents. Training participants included staff from the Guam Department of Integrated Services for Individuals with Disabilities (DISID) Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Division of Social Services.

GSAT’s Reutilization Program Assists Social Worker

April 4, 2019 By Guam CEDDERS

March 2, 2019: Rose Vongjalorn, a Social Worker from the Skilled Nursing Unit, obtained a toilet safety frame through GSAT’s Reutilization Program for a client to be able to access bathroom facilities safely. The Reutilization Program provides equipment through an open-ended loan, which enables the use of the equipment for as long as is needed at no cost to the borrower.
